No one ever likes when somehow your heat goes out. I’ve had that happen several times over last 10 years and every time I’ve called Cook’s Heating and cooling. I had an exceptional experience with Cook’s Heating and Cooling. Their response time when fixing our inoperative air conditioning unit was truly impressive. The technician arrived promptly and quickly diagnosed our issue. The service was professional and efficient, and the cost was very reasonable. I don’t normally post reviews on Google but these guys have been fantastic. Talking with Don while my hot water tank was out, it was quick, simple, personable, and he explained the issue thoroughly. Don’s motto of “fix it first” really was refreshing to hear. No upsale of their services or parts. He told me the part I needed to order OEM, and said he’d come back to install it and that it would take about an hour. Transparency through and through – highly recommend Cook’s.

They installed a ductless mini-split system with a heat pump and they were great. Don is a hands-on owner that made sure the job was done right and Lisa with the front office was attentive and helpful.

Will definitely use them again if I can.

We heard about Cook’s on the Nextdoor site, where they received great reviews………..now I know why. Our boiler quit working and I called at 4:00 fully expecting to be scheduled for the next day (if I was lucky). Two hours later company owner Don Cook is at the door and within minutes the issue is diagnosed. Within the hour the boiler is working like new and the house is warm again. Should’ve posted this long ago. Cooks Heating And Cooling is a great company with reasonable prices but most importantly, HONEST. The only company that I had out for a quote for a new hvac system that asked me why I was replacing it because mine was just fine (my old hvac company lied to me saying I needed a new one). Saved me thousands of dollars and earned themselves a lifetime customer.

Great service and prices! Excellent people! Excellent service good communication our new air conditioners what is the exact same as other local HVAC providers but about 25% less cost.

Cook is a good old fashioned family business. I genuinely feel that they appreciate my being a customer. Don assisted us with an air conditioner issue earlier this year with a very novel solution. Recently, I talked to Don again to report a furnace problem. Several times during the call he proactively addressed issues concerning my family’s safety. During a cold spell recently, where I imagine everyone’s furnace breaks down at the same time, Cook Heating found time to fit us in fairly quickly. A very polite gentleman arrived at our home on time, quickly diagnosed the problem and got us back up and running. As with the air conditioner issue earlier this year, the price was very fair, the area was left neat and clean and a thorough explanation of the problem and preventive measures was provided. As a resident of Lake Zurich for 18 years, I’ve had many people in my home quoting and performing various repairs and installations. Cook Heating & Cooling provides me with a level of comfort and confidence that I rarely enjoy anymore.
